My name is Raheb Rahman. I used to feel anxious about math class, which caused me to miss school for a period of time. I received training in food service from VTC, where I learned practical skills such as handling money, making transactions, and navigating public transportation. Since March 2018, I have been employed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport with the Bangladesh Tourism Corporation. I travel to the office independently, and occasionally encounter unexpected situations on the road such as road closures or disruptions in bus services due to various events.
In such instances, I refrain from calling Pathao or Uber; instead, I always carry extra money in my wallet to handle these challenges, a habit I acquired from my training center. Boarding and alighting from buses can be difficult due to the need for quick maneuvering. Sometimes, I find it challenging to board crowded buses, which adds to the daily struggle of commuting. I depart from home early each morning to ensure punctual arrival at the office. Having sufficient and reliable public transport on the roads would greatly facilitate the commuting experience for myself and my colleagues.
