This is the Framework for Development of Programs for Persons with Neuro-Developmental Disabilities that we follow
This document is designed to assist teachers in the development of appropriate programs and learning experiences for exceptional students with developmental delays.
It uses as its focus seven components of an appropriate developmental program. Teachers would use all its components as an organizational model within the center which they would put together into the student programs/Individual Target Plans (ITP).
Although the components are identical for all developmental programs and for all students, the specific goals of each program will vary with the individual student’s age, strengths and needs. All students at VTC will be included below components to ensure all areas of life skills are covered :
- Life Skills
- Social Communication
- Interpersonal Skills
- Leisure Skills
- Pre-Vocational Training
- Vocational Training
- Therapeutic Support
- Exercise and Sports
- Cultural Areas
All Target plan will also be able to reflect individual teacher/Trainers interests and preferences with focusing to the condition of the students.
